It’s official: the DVSA Theory Test Kit app, produced by Williams Lea for the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), was the top-selling iOS app in the UK in 2017.
On Thursday 7 December, Apple published ‘Best of 2017 – top app charts’, which documented the year’s most popular apps. Williams Lea’s Official DVSA Theory Test Kit app was at the top of the UK paid-for app chart.
To put that into context, more than 2.2 million apps (both paid-for and free) were available for download through the App Store in 2017. With so many options available, more people chose to download the Official DVSA Theory Test Kit than any other paid-for app.
This is a fantastic achievement by everyone involved and showcases not only our team’s app development capability but also our understanding of the target market and how best to reach them. Since 2011, more than 1.4 million people have used DVSA apps to study, practice and take mock tests. That makes these apps some of the most successful learning aids in Britain.
